The cattle drives were dangerous and difficult work, but they played a key role in the development of the American cattle industry.
Hale County, Texas, located in the Panhandle region, has a rich and diverse history that dates back to prehistoric times. The area was inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Comanches and Apaches, before European settlement.
