Smith-Barron House

100 S. Congress, Bryan, TX

Drug company owner and cotton buyer George W. Smith had this impressive Classical Revival style house built in about 1910 for his family. Judge W.S. Barron purchased the house and its one-half block site in 1922, and he and his family lived there until recent years, making few changes to the structure. Judge Barron was an active businessman, lawyer, judge, and state representative from Brazos County.
