Parker, Milton, House

An outstanding Victorian dwelling with superbly crafted detailing inside and out, the Parker House is said to have been built by German contractors from Dallas in 1885. It is well-preserved on an entire block and retains significant site features and early auxiliary buildings. Milton Parker, the original owner, was a successful businessman, profiting from land holdings in the Brazos River Valley. His daughter lives in the house (1987).
