McDougal-Jones House
600 E. Twenty-seventh, Bryan, TXAn outstanding local example of early 20th-century revival architecture, this dwelling exhibits many characteristics of what popular publications of the era promoted as "Dutch Colonial." The tax valuation of this property increased substantially in 1917, suggesting that Mrs. M.E. McDougal had it built. C. Edgar Jones, president of the First Bank & Trust, owned the house from 1925 until about 1940. There have been three owners since then (1987).
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
