Contractor Charles Jenkins erected this outstanding Queen Anne style residence for pharmacist Edward J. Jenkins in 1893. E.J. Jenkins, a former mayor of Bryan, owned and operated the Jenkins Drug Store at 203 N. Main. The superb craftsmanship of Charles Jenkins, builder of the house, is evidenced in the solidity of the structure and the application of architectural ornament.
