Location: Driving Directions:From Hutto, go approx. 6.1 miles east on Hwy 79 to Frame Switch. Turn left on CR 101 and go 2.0 miles north to CR 369. Turn right on CR 369 and go 1.5 miles east-north to intersection with CR 368. Turn right and continue east on CR 369 for approx. 0.7 miles to marked gate of the cemetery on right (south) side of road. Cemetery is approx. 772 ft. south of road. The cemetery is not a map feature, but is fully fenced and maintained. A cemetery sign and historical subject marker are posted at entrance on CR 369. The cemetery appears to be frequently visited, and the most recent burial occurred in 1998. Cemetery features include several very large granite obelisks, a fenced plot, grave slabs, and metal funeral markers. Some of the older marker are fallen or damaged.

To address the problem of cemetery destruction and to record as many cemeteries as possible, the Texas Historical Commission offers the Historic Texas Cemetery designation.

The Historic Texas Cemetery designation was developed in 1998 to help protect historic cemeteries by recording cemetery boundaries in county deed records to alert present and future owners of land adjacent to the cemetery of its existence. Every county in Texas has at least one cemetery designated as a Historic Texas Cemetery through this program. The HTC designation is the first step toward preservation of a historic cemetery.

A cemetery is eligible for designation if it is at least 50 years old and is deemed worthy of recognition for its historical associations. The very nature of a cemetery being a landmark of a family’s or community’s presence is considered to validate the criteria of historical associations. Any individual, organization, or agency may submit a request for designation.
