The Stavely-Kunz-Johnson residence represents an unusually fine example of regional cut limestone and cedar blended with the popular Victorian architecture. One of the most outstanding homes in its immediate East Austin neighborhood it serves as a highwater mark of middle class affluence in turn-of-the-century Austin. It also serves as an important landmark and center in the neighborhood today.
