1113 E. 9th St., Austin, TXThe Jobe House, constructed about 1900 by Phillip W. Jobe, a real estate speculator, is significant because it is an excellent, nearly intact example of a transitional-style residence. With its prominent corner location, generous open design, and wide porches, 1113 East 9th Street was typical of homes built by newly affluent Austin families around the turn of the century.
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
