Location: 6318 19th Street (roughly); From Waco, go west on 19th St. Cemetery is on the just past the Bosque River. From I-35 in Waco, TX, head southwest on I-35 S. Take exit 334 toward US-77 S/17th street-18th street. Merge onto US-77 S/Interstate 35 Frontage road/ J H Kultgen Expy. Slight right toward 17th street. Slight right onto S 17th street. Slight left onto Homan Avenue. Turn right at the 1st cross street onto N 18th street. Slight left onto N 18th A street. Continue onto N 19th street. Turn left into trailer park. Follow drive to circle drive. The cemetery is a small knoll "inside" or within the circle drive. It is approximately 5 feet higher than surrounding terrain and approximately 55 feet in diameter.

To address the problem of cemetery destruction and to record as many cemeteries as possible, the Texas Historical Commission offers the Historic Texas Cemetery designation.

The Historic Texas Cemetery designation was developed in 1998 to help protect historic cemeteries by recording cemetery boundaries in county deed records to alert present and future owners of land adjacent to the cemetery of its existence. Every county in Texas has at least one cemetery designated as a Historic Texas Cemetery through this program. The HTC designation is the first step toward preservation of a historic cemetery.

A cemetery is eligible for designation if it is at least 50 years old and is deemed worthy of recognition for its historical associations. The very nature of a cemetery being a landmark of a family’s or community’s presence is considered to validate the criteria of historical associations. Any individual, organization, or agency may submit a request for designation.
