Reed, Thomas B., House
933 Allston St., Houston, TXThe Thomas P. Reed House is a good example of a dwelling that underwent extensive, early alterations and yet maintained its residential character. Originally a 1-story hipped-roof cottage, in 1925 it was altered by the addition of the second floor, to accommodate two small apartments. The addition was carried out in a very sympathetic manner and the result was a disparate dwelling type in the Heights.
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
