Milroy-Muller House

1602 Harvard St., Houston, TX

One of the oldest houses in this area; was the first home of the John Milroy family in the Heights, before they moved to the Boulevard; was then occupied by H. J. Muller, whose wife was active in the Heights School Board. This is a very fine example of the transition in architecture from Queen Anne to Colonial Revival styles, once common in the Heights, but today almost rare. A progressive design for its date, it is also noteworthy as the home of a Houston Heights mayor.
