The Kennedy House is a vernacular house with elements of Queen Anne and Eastlake styles. It is one of the finest examples of this combination of styles and features in a two-story house found in the Heights. The scale and massing indicate a house of a prosperous individual. M.W. Kennedy was a builder and carpenter who
constructed this house for his residence.

Descendants of Kennedy lived here until 1960.
