Ellis, Dr. Billie V., House

1515 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX

Dr. Billie V. Ellis appears to have been the first resident of this property, after its purchase in 1911 for $1800 from W. G. Love. Love had paid $1500 for it only one-and-a-half years earlier. This exchange helps to illustrate the increasing and rate of value of property in the Heights during that period of development. Ellis was a prominent local physician with an office at 19th and Ashland.
