The Baring House is significant as a well-preserved bungalow with Craftsman influence built in the Heights from 1905-1930. Its hipped roof makes it one of the few such bungalows in the Heights. Additional significance is gained from being one of the houses constructed by a builder for his own home in the neighborhood. Rear garage is original to the house and is contributing to the property.
