The 1885 Cherry Spring School in the vicinity of Fredericksburg in Gillespie County, Texas is nominated for listing in the National Register of Historic Places in the area of Education at the local level of significance. The property has undergone little alteration since the historic period and is able to convey its significance as a place where the process of conveying and acquiring knowledge and skills through systematic instruction, training and study was undertaken. The resources are unaltered since the historic period of 1885- 1955, and much of the original historic material remains intact. The property retains the integrity of location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling and association to a high degree.
