Telfair House

A successful synthesis of a four-square plan with Neoclassical Revival details, designed by prolific local architect Hix McCanless. This outstanding house, an example of a locally rare plan type, has been owned by two generations of the Telfair family, beginning with railroad man John Spier Telfair.
