Patrick, Marshall T., House

233 Patrick, Waxahachie, TX

The Patrick House stands as one of the city's most impressive late nineteenth-century residences. With its asymmetrical massing, variety of textures, and elliptical domed turret, it is an outstanding local example of Queen Anne residential architecture. It was built for Marshall T. Patrick, who operated freight and grocery businesses before he and Neil McMillan founded a bank in 1881. The bank eventually merged with Citizen's National Bank. His descendants still own the house.
