Moore House

400 W. Denton, Ennis, TX

Asymmetrical massing and unusual application of details distinguish this dwelling as an outstanding local interpretation of Neoclassical Revival architecture. The huge paired consoles at the southwest corner off-center entry paired giant order fluted columns set on the bias and the house sitting on a large lot contribute to the structure's impressive appearance. It was the home for many years of the Captain H.T. Moore family.
