Jolesch House
504 W. Knox, Ennis, TXAn octagonal second-story tower marks the entry and juncture of two cells in this Victorian elaboration of a tradition-modified L-plan dwelling. Turned architectural porch trim and decorative gable treatment further distinguish this house as an outstanding example of a once-abundant plan type in the region. It was the home of Ike Jolesch, vice-president of the First National Bank of Ennis and proprietor of a dry goods store on S. Main West, known as the "Big Store."
