House at 301 Turner

301 Turner, Waxahachie, TX

Although a large number of shotgun dwellings stand in Waxahachie, this is the oldest and most intact house of its kind in the city. Almost all of the other local shotgun houses are virtually void of significant detail, but this dwelling features ornate, jigsawn bargeboards and pent roofs with shingled gable ends.
