Charles Cook hired architect Beverly Spillman to design this residence in 1923. It stands as one of Cuero's finest houses and is one of the best local examples of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, which was popular in Cuero during the 1920s and 1930s. It remained in the Cook family until 1942 when Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Weber became owners.
