Reuss, J. M., House
315 Stockdale, Cuero, TXThis was the home of physician and druggist J.M. Reuss, a German immigrant who practiced in Indianola before moving to Cuero after the 1875 storm. He operated the Reuss Drug Store (Site No. 435) at 130 E. Main. The Reuss Drug Store is one of Cuero's oldest and most important establishments and has been in continuous operation since 1875. It is Cuero's oldest drug store although it now operates out of a new building on Esplanade. This house is a tangible link to an important local businessman.
