House at 609 East Live Oak
609 E. Live Oak, Cuero, TXLike its neighbor, 607 E. Live Oak (Site No. 350), this house was owned by John Muti until 1898 when A. Ratti is listed as its owner in county tax rolls. It is one of Cuero's earliest and most outstanding L-plan dwellings and is particularly noteworthy for its pedimented window and door surrounds w/ jigsawn applique, as well as its gabled dormers. Few alterations detract from its historic integrity.
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
