This is a fine example of a 2-story, L-plan dwelling. This house form is one of the most common of Cuero's late 19th- and early 20th-century residences, although most L plans are only 1-story. This house was built for J.B. Farris, and it remained in the family until 1914, according to tax rolls. A year later, it was owned by 6.P. Box.
