Cuero High School

405 E. Sarah, Cuero, TX

Erected in 1928, this building served as the high school until a new facility was built several blocks east in 1970. This is Cuero's oldest extant school building financed with public monies. Despite its poor condition, the school is a note-worthy local example of an institutional building with Gothic Revival detailing. It is the only historic (pre-1936) public educational facility that still stands in the community,
