Billow-Thompson House
402 E. Broadway, Cuero, TXThis frame dwelling, built in 1888 for Sherman Billow and his wife, features an elongated L plan, as the easternmost room appears to be a lateral addition. Sanborn maps, however, confirm this to be original to the house. Dr. J.M. Thompson bought the house in 1901. This structure is a noteworthy example of late 19th-century domestic architecture in Cuero and is one of the best preserved. It possibly was moved from Indianola, but this has not been confirmed.
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
