4928 Bryan Street Apartments
4928 Bryan Street, Dallas, TXThe 4928 Bryan Street Apartments building is an excellent example of the early apartment buildings that developed East Dallas in the 1920s as part of the suburbanization of the area following the streetcar lines. In 2005, renovations to the building began, and the building has been sensitively restored to its original appearance. It once again serves the multiple family residents of East Dallas. Not many apartment buildings from this period still exist in this part of Dallas and only a precious few retain most if not all of their original charm and character as this one does.
It is nominated to the National Register at the local level of significance under Criterion A for Community Planning and Development, demonstrating a trend in residential development and the evolving workforce at the time of its construction, and under Criterion C for Architecture as a good example of a Mediterranean-style apartment building
Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
