THE NEARBY SALEM SCHOOL BUILDING ALSO SERVED AS A CHURCH FOR VARIOUS CONGREGATIONS. DURING WORLD WAR II, LOCAL WOMEN OF THE COMMUNITY CAME TO THE SCHOOL BUILDING TO GATHER TO PRAY FOR THEIR LOVED ONES OVERSEAS.
