Neathery, Sam, House
215 N. Waddill, McKinney, TXThis Colonial Revival house was built in 1920 for San Neathery who was elected Collin County attorney in 1915 and served for two terms. From 1928 to 1934 he was a member of the University of Texas Board of Regents. By 1929 he had moved to Houston and served as city attorney 1929 to 1933. He maintained ownership of the house until 1934 when he sold it to W.A. Dowell. The house now stands as of the best local examples of Colonial Revival architecture. The date of the ground floor alterations is not known.
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
