This is one of the finest local examples of the Tudor style which gained considerable popularity in McKinney during the 1920s and 1930s. This features finely crafted brickwork and a half-timbered effect as well as the use of multiple cladding materials. Businessman W.R. Hill built this dwelling in 1928. He was the son of F.M. "Tuck" Hill whose house stands at 616 W. Virginia.
