This house is a good example of a common turn-of-the-century plan type of McKinney. John Martin, a prominent local builder, and the contractor is believed to have constructed the dwelling. It was built for S.H. Fox, a retired pioneer farmer who was also a five-time county commissioner. It was owned later by R.L. Moulden, who served as a county judge of Collin County while a resident here. This dwelling is one of the best examples of a modified L-plan residence, a common house type in McKinney.
