The San Antonio Water Works pump station no. 2 (Borglum Studio) typifies late 19th century industrial architecture of the southwest. It is associated with both the expansive influence of the city's and one of the state's leading businessmen and philanthropists, George W. Brackenridge, and the development of San Antonio's burgeoning art community during the early 20th century.
