Designed by Atlee B. Ayres for Alexander Hart Halff in 1908, the residence at 601 Howard Street in San Antonio is one of distinctive architectural significance. As one of the few remaining domestic structures in the once-prestigious Tobin Hill area it is an outstanding example of Ayres' ability to combine numerous stylistic influences creatively, while managing to maintain a cohesive design.
