519 Groesbeck St., East, Lufkin, TXUnusual and notable bungalow design: three lateral gables on the entrance front are exceptional. One of two similar residences owned by the Kennedy brothers across the street from one another. This is the older of the two; remodeled to resemble 603 E. Groesbeck. R. A. Kennedy owned and operated the Lufkin Steam Laundry. Part of an early residential area developed north of the central business district. Shown on the 1927 Sanbom map with minor alterations by 1957-64. The area of significance is architecture at the local level.
