Carselowey House

The Carselowey House is eligible for the National Register under Criterion C in the area of Architecture as an excellent example of Colonial Revival, embodying the distinctive characteristics of that style. Identifying features of Colonial Revival that are seen on the house include an accentuated front door, sidelights on the main entry, symmetrical façade, and double hung windows. While Colonial Revival style houses were a dominant style for domestic buildings throughout the country in the early part of the 1900s, the Carselowey House is an exceptional example in Vinita that has maintained its architectural integrity.
