Cimarron County Courthouse
Cimarron Ave., Boise City, OKThe Cimarron County Courthouse is significant because it provided for the governing of the county and for the storage of legal records. The importance of the courthouse is underlined by its location in the exact center of the original townsite of Boise City, a town founded specifically to serve as the county seat of Cimarron County. The present building was constructed in 1926 to replace the original wood frame building which burned the previous year.
Local significance of the building:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
