Lima Cleaning and Pressing Company

a.k.a. 436-438 South Main Street

436-438 S. Main St., Lima, OH

Significant for its original architectural features--the only comparable example in Lima. The building has provided a variety of commercial purposes such as dry cleaners, and plumbing. The elaborate cast and wrought iron work on the facade of this building is other Lima buildings. In addition, the basement level entrances or the facade, while common in larger Eastern cities, have not been identified as other Lima commercial buildings. Important locally for the "untouched" aspect of its facade.
