Altamont Historic District
Main St. between Thacher Dr. and the RR station, Guilderland, NYAltamont district contains approximately eleven acres. Begin at the northeastern comer of the property line at 124 Main Street extending south to the eastern property line of 131 Main Street approximately 250 feet. Then proceed westerly following the southern property lines of 131 to 163 Main Street for about1400 feet. Then proceed southwest following the southern property lines of 163 Main Street to the railroad station for about 425 feet. Then proceed northwest 375 feet following the railroad tracks to the northwest corner of 198 Main Street, Then proceed northeast 630 feet following the north property lines of 198 to 172 Main Street. Then proceed due east 1300 feet following the northern property lines of 170 to 124 Main Street.
Local significance of the district:Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
