Race Point Light Station

Race Point Beach, Provincetown, MA

The Race Point Light Station possesses integrity of location, design, setting, materials, and workmanship as well as important associations with the development of aids to navigation in Massachusetts. Consisting of the cast iron light tower, keeper's house, oil house, and garage, the complex was largely built in 1876. Although the individual structures have somewhat deteriorated, Race Point Light Station remains significant as one of the few intact complexes dating from the nineteenth century.
