Big Spring Church

Organized as Baptist congregation in 1813. Present building erected, 1819. Their first preacher, Jacob Creath, Sr., was called greatest orator in the West by Henry Clay. With his able guidance the church grew and prospered. Under Creath's leadership the members became followers of Alexander Campbell's doctrines and changed to Christian Church. Restoration began in 1970.
