Carr Creek Center
Olive V. Marsh and Ruth E. Watson, from Mass., aided by the Daughters of the American Revolution, carved this center of learning out of a wooded hillside overlooking rustic "Singing Carr." When organized, September 1, 1920, it was dedicated to the education of mountain youth and is maintained by the contributions of many friends and the Knott Co. Board of Education.
The first bourbon whiskey was distilled in Kentucky in the late 18th century. Today, Kentucky is known for its bourbon production and is home to many famous bourbon distilleries.
