Northwest No. 6 Boundary Marker of the Original District of Columbia

150 ft. NE of jct. of Park and Western Aves., NW, Washington, DC

Northwest #6 boundary stone was the third marker to be located in Maryland. It was laid in 1792. It is situated in a small field which runs along Western Avenue. Its fence was dedicated in June 1917 by the Independence Bell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
