Lane-Kendrick-Sherling House
109 Ft. Dale St., Greenville, ALThe first record of the Judge L, M, Lane House indicates it was sold by the Gandy family in 1868 to W. F. Parmer, a Greenville merchant. The house was sold to various members of the community who held the house for short periods of time until February 1885 when it was sold to L. M. Lane, a local attorney. Lane, who served as Probate Judge of Butler County from 1886 to 1892 held possession of the house until November 1921 when it was sold to his daughter, Mrs. Katie L. Kendrick, and afterward was owned by Mrs. Kendrick's daughter, Mrs. Dan Sherling.
