Manufacturer's National Bank

a.k.a. The Professional Building

145 Lisbon St., Lewiston, ME

This structure is Lisbon Street's pre-eminent example of Commercial Style architecture as developed in New York and Chicago around the turn of the century. Early modern influence is indicated by the steel frame-curtain wall structural system, the visual balance between pier and spandrel components, and the Neo-classical ornamentation in the first story.

The Manufacturer's National Bank was chartered in 1875 by Governor Nelson Dingley and was originally located in the Pilsbury Block.
