Reverse
Mineral Mound was named for a mineral spring on the farm. During the Civil War, the home flew the Confederate flag, and as a result, it was damaged by Union gunboats from the Cumberland River. R. S. Mason, a prominent Lyon County businessman, owned the estate from 1917 until it burned in 1947.
