Spans Dub Branch, Oneonta, AL

This is the oldest of the four bridges and was built under the supervision of Forrest Tidwell. Zelma Tidwell, his nephew and successor as foreman of the county bridge construction crew, assisted him in this project. County records do not indicate a date of construction; however, in 1929, the county minutes reflect that material was ordered to repair the bridge. The c. 1927 date has long been associated with the structure, but is not based on documentation.
