Allen House

The Alien-Marshall House sits on the north bank of the Bon Secour River on a portion of the William Kennedy Grant. The house was constructed c. 1880 by James and Louisa Alien shortly after Louisa acquired the lot in 1877. James was an Englishman who came to the United States in 1840 and made his living as an oysterman. He and Louisa had eight children, one of whom was a boiler maker. James Alien died in 1905 and the Marshall family acquired the property in 1930.

Listed in National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
